Biography of David J. Waks
Dave is President of
System Dynamics Inc., and specializes in the technology and economics of broadband,
multimedia and interactive services. His client projects have focused on applications and
strategies for broadband-enabled PC and TV services for the home and SOHO markets. His
consulting experience with cable operators and other service providers implementing
high-speed Internet services, IP telephony and video applications has provided hands-on
experience with the current state of the existing infrastructure and products. He has
applied this experience to assist vendors who are creating next generation products for
broadband services to and in the home.
Dave was a founder of Prodigy Services Company, and directed its advanced technology
and broadband efforts. As a consultant prior to Prodigy's formation, he devised Prodigy's
network architecture. As Executive Director of Technology, he was responsible for
Prodigy's advanced development of broadband services and content to the home PC and TV
using cable, telephone, CD-ROM and satellite delivery. During 1994, he launched the first
five trials of Prodigy delivered by cable modems to the home.
Dave has been a speaker at many industry meetings, and has participated as an invited
speaker in workshops for service providers planning market entry in high-speed data
services. He has organized and participated in numerous VON sessions focused on the
broadband market.

Biography of Sandra Teger
Sandy joined System
Dynamics Inc. in 1996. She specializes in the market dynamics and customer needs for
broadband, multimedia and interactive services. Her consulting engagements with service
providers have included consulting with cable operators planning and implementing
high-speed Internet services for the PC and TV, including IP telephony and multimedia
collaboration. Her focus is on helping service providers and vendors reap financial
rewards by matching new applications and technologies with market readiness and
willingness-to-pay.
Previously, Sandy spent eighteen years with AT&T, where she was a recognized expert
in strategic planning, multimedia communications and new product development. As
AT&T's Strategy Director for multimedia products and services, she managed a
multi-business Unit team focused on obtaining higher returns from AT&T's dispersed
multimedia investments. Her team created integrated customer solutions and converged
technical standards.
Sandy has been a speaker at many meetings, including industry and financial analysts,
Cablelabs and Bellcore. She has organized and participated in numerous VON sessions
focused on the broadband market. |
